Lightninrod Posted February 14, 2006 Posted February 14, 2006 My boss asked me if I wanted to go down to his pond Thursday and meet with a man that was going to do an intial pond management study of his Bass pond. So I said, "No"----NOT! I'm going to meet the guy as he needs an extra 'hand' in his boat to help scoop the fish out of the water after they've been shocked. I hope to get to take some pics while there too and I hope he shocks up some bigguns. The pond is only about 5 years old and is about 5 acres in area. Some of y'all have seen some pics of Bass I've caught there recently including this 6.5 lb, 23 incher: I'll of course post what he finds and some pics too I hope. Found this Relative Weight Table while searching: Scroll down Dan Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted February 14, 2006 BassResource.com Administrator Posted February 14, 2006 Hey Dan, That's a great fish! That table looks strikenly similar to the table we have here: http://bassresource.com/fish_biology/growing_larger_bass.html When you get a moment, take a look around this site. I think you'll find you'll need to do a lot less searching on the Internet. Quote
BD Posted February 14, 2006 Posted February 14, 2006 I can almost bet you'll be amazed at what the shocking shows. 8-) Quote

Lightninrod Posted February 15, 2006 Author Posted February 15, 2006 I just found out this morning that we are going to shock/test my boss's two ponds. He has a much smaller(2 acres?) one a 1/4 mile or so above the one I fish in. I'm to meet the p/m guy at 10 AM tomorrow. fbl: No video camera, just a digital Canon. Dan Quote

Super User cart7t Posted February 17, 2006 Super User Posted February 17, 2006 Uh oh, you made this one too easy! Thanks goodness for Google earth. Too bad the lake wasn't across HWY 49, it would've had a little better detail. Quote

Too bad the lake wasn't across HWY 49, it would've had a little better detail. It is across HWY 49. See "Walker Road"? That leads to my boss's farm house, just a 1/2 mile due west from the HWY. The ponds are visable; the smaller one in the 'V' of the white lines(dirt trails) and the bigger one just South of the east-west white line and at the end of the vertical white line coming down from the "W". There they are and thank you . Dan Dan Quote
