I have had several 60 fish days in the spring on jerkbaits with fish from 7" to 7 pounds. I find you get more quality fish though than you would on a spinnerbait or lipless in the same areas. Quote

jig Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 outcome for me is usually quality fish if your talking about real early spring ; when the water is in the 40 s.Im usually a jig guy but that time of year the jerk bait gets the nod the majority of the time.Have caught them up to 8 lbs on it. Quote
