I hate when the TV cameraman shows the mug shot while fishing.  What good is looking at someones face? I would rather see what kind of cover the are throwing to,  especially when using crankbaits since alot of what I read  says not to worry about losing lures.  Well I want to see it for myself.

Lindner's show, I think it's called Anglers Edge is one of the better ones as far as educating the viewer. There's some good underwater photography and the hosts do a good job of filling you in conditions and strategy. There's a little too much walleye stuff for my taste but it's a good show. I agree that most of them are more about the host and sponsers than the actual fishing.

Does anyone know when Angler's Edge typically airs, and on what station?  I have DirectTV. Thanks, TC

Yeah, i agree with you guys. they show to much of the fisherman. :(. They need to show more of the fishing and try to teach us something. That's a little early for me to be watching a show. is there another time for it?

It seems like on some of the shows it doesn't really show the surroundings. Like you can tell the same landmarks. I understand if you are in a honey hole. But, some of the shots make it look like a small pond or lake. And i have seen shows were for the whole show they are in the same place.

You know, it's funny. While I agree...

If the fishing show was hosted by a Swedish bikini team model (of course sponsored by Abu Garcia) we'd all be like "What fish?";D "Awww, She finally caught one!";D "This show has to many fish and location shots." ;)

I'll watch Linder's show for the bass fishing but the walleye and religious stuff he can leave out.  As for fishing shows featuring women, there is a show (Direct TV) called "Fishing with Kelly and Courtney".  The show features 2 Canadian women that usually fish for trout and salmon.  It's a good show and they appear to really know what they are doing.

Its good to know that you all notice this too!  It absolutely drives me CRAZY, when all they focus on is the dude's face.

Speaking of Bass fishing shows, What do you guys think about the FLW tour's camera set up.  Is it just me, or is the "Crane Cam" and "Hat Cam" one of the worst ways to watch Bass fishing?

As for TV shows, In-Fisherman Critical Concepts was on Sportsnet today and I believe it is going to air every Tuesday 4Pm here ( at least as far as my schedule shows). I had never seen it before, but it was a great show on swimbaits.

Angling Edge is on at 8:30AM on OLN one day in the middle of the week besides the 5AM time almost everyday.

There is a whole bunch of new fishing shows on OLN. Hank Parker and Shaw Grigsby to name a few.

I wpuld like to see less of the person fishing and a split shot picture of methods of handling the poles and reels while showing when the fish breaks water. More shots of how they work a lure when they retrieve it.

                                       Good  Luck !

                                                                         Sinker  48   :)
