mcipinkie Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 Anyone else out there taken all the tackle out of their boat and started sorting out? Cabin fever is setting in early this year. I got all the 3700's and all the sacks of lures that I bought this year out of the boat and started organizing the other night. I am primarily a jig fisherman, but think I have gone overboard this year. In skirted jigs only, not counting plain jigs for grubs, hula grubs, etc., I had 198 in the boat. All the way from 1/8 to 7/8 ounce in every color imaginable. I'm sick with the disease. Anyone else as bad as me? Quote
Super User flechero Posted December 15, 2005 Super User Posted December 15, 2005 I hate to admit it but I am every bit as bad as you are... except mine is with soft plastics, which I fish most of the time. Last year when I cleaned out my storage boxes in the boat, I filled 2 trash bags with soft plastics. 1 full bag was just lizards. "Hi, my name is keith and I have a problem." ;D Quote
Spencer W Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 me and my fishing partner are getting together to go through our gear too, and of course i started making a list for next year. Hopefully the wife gets my new tackle bag for x-mas I have a problem with crankbaits though, i probably have a dozen new ones waiting to be opened and put in boxes. Had to get while they were on sale, or at least thats what the bait monkey suggested. Quote
Super User Sam Posted December 15, 2005 Super User Posted December 15, 2005 I have the majority of my tackle in storage boxes in my upstairs office and plan to take the rest of the stuff out of the boat so I can take a day, watch football, and organize everything. I do this every year and I totally screw it all up during the season. I can't find stuff that I know I have; I lose stuff that I later find in the garage or on the boat; but I DON'T THROW ANYTHING AWAY. Man, is having a lot of fishing stuff fun or what? Quote
