Late Season Bass

Anyone having luck with Late Season Bass in cold weather?

If so, what are you using.  They seem pretty lethargic here in Minnesota.

Gold rat-L-trap is killing em right now along with a medium diving chart/blue crankbait.  I'm doing nothing with jigs, worms, and spinnerbaits.  Can't say I have anything near RW's catch but she's coming I can feeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeel it

The last few times I've went I caught them on a green pumpkin finese worm on a c-rig and pitchin' and flippin' a chartreuse w/red tube.I haven't had much success using traditional fall baits.

Its never to late!!!1 Read the article in Bass Times about ice out fishing. Just fish bigger baits and deeper and slower.

were feeling the slowdown here in japan too.  but no reason to stop fishing.  the last few times ive been out in the past week, i have been having outstanding luck with a 1/32 micro jig in white with either a few strands of green or orange, with a GYCB 3in. shad shape wom in pumpkin as a trailer.  the jig has been getting worked.  so all that said thanks to LBH for a previous post on finess jigs, and to all that posted their thoughts on the matter.

Well, after the pond froze completly over last week, I thought the fishing would  be done for the year.  I decided to return my neighbor's canoe, but as I paddled across, I thought I should also give it one last try.  Good choice!  I caught 4 nice 2.5 lb fish on a neon black tube tejas rigged!  Needless to say, I still have my neighbor's canoe for another trip today

Tail Kickers, little georges and other spoons are taking their fair share of winter bass in Texas.  Some days, you only need to reel it up off the bottom and do nothing, just let it set still,  other days, rip it off bottom and let fall.

As Avid mentioned, also the red trap is starting to pickup pace quickly.  

The drop shot with flukes, and similar style baits is the other pattern working.   A lot of fish have made it back from the creeks since we just started winter or  I should say the cold weather has arrived.  Main lake humps and points in 15-30 ft have been holding steady schools of bass.

What green grass is left is holding shallow fish along stump flats, wacky worming and dropshots working well also.

Supsending jerkbaits have done fairly well while drop shot and mojo rig (split shot) do work.

I seems like that my local spots are speendin up the last 2 weeks it has been cold and snowin off and on. Everytime i have gone out i have caught a least five the most was nine, all nice big fat ones.Catching them on Jerkbaits,c-rigs, and even buzzbaits. The most have been caught on a strike king pro model 1/4 jig worked very slow.
