I have noticed lately when I fish a local pond, that when I bring in Milfoil,I find small olive colored egg things attached to it. What could this be? I doubt its frog eggs could it be an insect egg? I am puzzled and thought about posting this for a while, but curiousity has been killing me,so I finally broke down and decided to ask. I can obtain pictures if that would help identifying this stuff. Thanks all

Sounds like seed to me.  Not sure what kind,  i'd have to see it.  small ponds are very prone to algae blooms.  Could be that I suppose.

During the summer I pulled in an underwater branch and clumps of vegetation that had what looked like a pod from aliens hanging from it. It was obviously something living or about to be alive. I think they were ping pong ball size. I'd of never thought of frogs though and I usually see turtles laying eggs on the beach.
