bigwave Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 Soft plastics usually come with oil on them. What kind of oil is it? Can I store my soft plastics with anise oil or will this stuff destroy the baits over time? If bass smell anise and manufacturing oil will they find this repulsive? I wonder if the pros get soft plastics that have no oil on them? Any ideas? Quote
Will Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 I am not sure what kind of oil initialy come with the plastics, some worm companies put their own fish scents in them. Putting anise oil won't do anything to the worms. In fact some people dose the bag of worms so they don't have to give every worm a shot when they go to use them. I don't think anyone looks specifically for worms without oil. Quote
Chris Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 The oil has a generic name "worm oil" you can get it by the jug at websites like lure craft. Quote
Fishin_Machine Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 :)It is ok to store them in oil "but" not too much. You'll have a nightmare on your hands if it gets loose. ;D Not speaking from experience. Just squirt a little in the bag and work it through all of your worms. Your worms don't have to be dripping. I would use garlic or anise. Make sure you don't store them where they'll get too hot, your place will smell like the Olive Garden. Man, I want some spagetti now. See Ya. ;D Quote
