bassmaster043 Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 Ive been fishing a small lake that has some huge bass. 14+ have been caught out of it and their is more than one in their. My question to you is what bait would you be using.Their is alot of pads and hydrylla and out in the middle of the lake their is some dead trees coming up out of the water. I belive the deepest part of the lake is about 15 feet. Im not sure what what the water temp is rite now but if this helps any the air temp is about 60. Thanks Quote
stratoscaster Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 I would start with a white and chartrues spinnerbait myself. Actually we need to know a little more about the lake such as water clarity and water temp. Quote
bassmaster043 Posted November 4, 2005 Author Posted November 4, 2005 The water is stained and still not sure of the water temp next time I go out their ill get it. Thanks Quote
basspro48 Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 I would throw a carolina rigged brush hog or GYCB Kreature in the deepest holes and pitch a texas rigged Sweet beaver into laydowns and matted vegetation. You might also want to try a buzzbait or popper in the morning and evening. Also if you're looking for some real excitement try twitching a weedless frog over lilly pads and through laydowns. Hope this helps. Quote
Keepin_It_Reel Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 Yup i would try a scum frog on the top of those pads. Big bass love a topwater meal Quote
Guest avid Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 I would try a jig and if that didn't work I would try a different jig. Seriously. Quote
senko_77 Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 ditto on the jig. black and blue 1/2oz would be my choice. im not good with jigs, but i know big bass love um Quote
