SuthernProg Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 I know the color thing is mostly relative to what pleases US visually, but lately I've been finding alot of junebug colored lures on sale, in clearance bins, etc etc, with no real regard to brands, though there were alot of Strike King 3X baits. Junebug's always been a productive color for me, so what's up? Oh, have seen this at three different stores lately. Prog Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 Pretty sure that's just a coincidence. They probably over-ordered because there was a run on that color the year before and it didn't sell as well this year. Either way, one mans trash is another mans treasure! Take advantage of your good fortune and buy 'em up! Quote
SuthernProg Posted October 29, 2005 Author Posted October 29, 2005 Hehheh! Exactly what I did, filled up an entire Quantum worm bag with worms, lizards and trailers. Thanks. Prog Quote
Guest avid Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 Funny what you can find in the clearance bin. I was at the Lauderdale BPS and they had the rapala version of the rat'l trap. I bought a few, they work really well. Quote
Super User dodgeguy Posted October 29, 2005 Super User Posted October 29, 2005 rattlin rapala's are an awesome bait!!!junbug is a go to color in plastics!!!i would have grabbed both of those deals. Quote

Bass Hammer Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 Junebug is one of those names that people know. Probably over ordered. Buy em' up. Hammer Quote
FL_fisher Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 Junebug is my favorite color for the murky waters I fish. I even buy junebug skirts for my spinnerbaits. ;D Quote
Fish4FunInFl Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 BPS in Orlando, Florida has JUNEBUG Z-Nails for $ 1.29. So I took 8 more bags ;D ( took about that many 2 weeks ago when I was there also ) Quote
Rattlinrogue Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 I not only like the color, but I really like the 3x brand .Especially anything that can be used on a c-rig. Quote
Guest avid Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 I don't like 3x stuff. Down here is Florida it will be a puddle of goo in no time. Quote
Rattlinrogue Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 The 3x lizard is perfect for my c-rig fishing. There's a lot of submerged grass even in the deeper water on my home lake. The 3x lizard floats above the vegetation. Quote
Yankee_Bassman Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 C-rigging lizards is the only thing I use the 3X for... like you, rogue, I like the way the float up off the salad on the bottom of my lake..... Quote
razyrsharpe Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 i lucked into finding how productive the Junebug color can be this summer. was looking for a small dark worm and thought i would try the one i had never used. landed about 8 with it that day. good color for lures. Quote
