Hi there,

Just to say that today i had my first day fishing big mouth bass... A beautiful day, we took the boat wit my cousin ( who is a good bass fisher), i used his Tenryu rod with a normal reel . I tried to use the "inverted" reel ( casting reel ?) but i was a real mess.

I used a spinner lure...and i took 3 little bass in one afternoon when the cousin caught 15 of these little devils (seems like his rod and reel + his lucky craft were better than mine)

I really enjoyed the fights and the fact that this fish is a little crazy ( one of my fish had the hook stuck in the mouth and through the eye - yuck)

It was my first time fishing in ages ( i only fished little ones in river- not fascinating)

Well i may have been caught by the hook me too, but a fish is holding the rod...

By the way, i am french, 32 years old.

This was not the point of this post, could you indicate me an online shop where i could find good quality product at reasonable price

Thank you

i looked at the pics some sent to this forum and when i compare to those i caught, it seems that yours are monstruous and a bit more yellowish than those i caught in the lake .....Any chance that our so called "black-bass"  are different than yours ?

Welcome aboard.

You have found a gold mine of bass fishing information. The guys on this site are outstanding and you will learn a lot just by reading the posts.

Try to attend a Bassmaster University in your area.  You can obtain the schedule in a Bassmaster magazine or try this site.

hey man wellcome to the board you just joined the best fishing site on the web and you can ask any one here if they know a better site i guarrentee they don't anywaydown to buissness lol.

*.com best prices for plastic baits ever

cast it out and let it sink if the water is deep enough they will hit it on the way down. cast it out on the very edge of the pads and let it sink thats always a hot spot for me. if your catching really tiny fish try a 3 or 4 inch worm with a 3/0 hook get a 3/0 EWG (extra wide gap) hook. Rig the worm weedless.

here are the steps to rigging a worm weedless-------http://home.satx.rr.com/rebbasser/Weedless%20Rig.jpg

heres an article on plastic worms---http://www.bassresource.com/fish/plasticworms.html

here are some of my favorite brands of worms

1.Bass Pro Shops Stik_O 3 inch 4 inch and 5 inch worms.

2. Wave Worm Tiki-Stiks 3 inch 4 inch and 5 inch worms.

3. YUM Dinger (plastic worm) 3 inch 4 inch and 5 inch worms.

4. ZOOM Trick Worms 3 inch 4 inch and 5 inch worms.

Those are some of the best brands you van get in the store now as for the internet. There are porbably the best priced worms in the U.S. you might have a problem necause you live in france so i don't know if you can get them but check it out and tell those prices don't rule.

Welocme to the hands-down best bass fishing info site on the internet.  Like everyone has already told you, you will not find a nicer group of fisherman willing to share so much valuable information.  You hit the jackpot.  Where about do you live?  Ask some people in your town where a good tackle store is.  By the way, do you live in France, or America?
