Low_Budget_Hooker Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 This site has a couple guys who really know there stuff when it comes to certain aspects of fishing. This is the BR pro team as I have it so far Dr. Raul- everything veterinary Asctech- everything guide related reelmech- any equipment questions, especially reels. Lowbudgethookers- diy jonboat guy roadwarrior-soft plastics and anything smallmouth related. GamblerOH- paint repair and finishes. Any type of cosmetic repair. Who have I forgotten? Quote
bowjunkie35 Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 You guys don't know me much yet, but you will! ;D Quote
nwgabassmaster Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 I like to think that I know a good bit about spinnerbaits, jerkbaits, and jigs. :-/ guess that doesn't merit credit in the PS. Quote
New Bass Man Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 When I first read this post, I knew it would be dangerous. It's easy to leave somebody out. Every fisherman thinks they are the best--present company excluded. I'm a beginner. But I do know alot! Some of most insightful and helpful information I've received from this board has come from none of the above. We all know more than any one of us. That's what make this board so good. Singling people out ain't a good thing fellows. Quote
Max-in-Mn Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 I'm the local muskie/pike dude, does that count? :-/ Quote
bassackwards Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 oh please... the only negative thing here is the people who's feeling are hurt for not bein mentioned. otherwise, noone has attacked anyone, or even said anything negative about anyone. my ego isn't hurt. although I was wondering where my name was? lol Quote
bowjunkie35 Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 oh please... the only negative thing here is the people who's feeling are hurt for not bein mentioned. otherwise, noone has attacked anyone, or even said anything negative about anyone. my ego isn't hurt. although I was wondering where my name was? lol Oh please... Didn't know that anybody accused anyone of attacking anyone, or being negative. : The question was posed, who was left out, and there are some responses from those who feel maybe they were. Me, I could care less. My proof is in the puddin' baby and will show over time. The only reason I don't have 1500 posts is because I just found this site through another bass forum. But don't underestimate me because of my post count. I am a forum veteran, moderator on some, a journalism major, and an accomplished bass fisherman with accolades to my credit. (see my avatar) But I haven't touted any of that yet because I know what people think when they see low post count. NOOB! Been around, seen things, but I will let my experience show through posting. Low_Budget_Hooker Posted September 9, 2005 Author Posted September 9, 2005 Actually, I posted this as a reference for folks who might want to ask a question about somthing in particular. As far as I am concerned, everyone here is equal. We got rookies to guides to pros. We have computer wizzes, firemen and nurses. We got kids, granddads and moms. As for post count, I wish mine wasn't so high because as I see it, the more your typing, the less you're fishing! We don't judge people on this site and certainly not by post count, I think that's one of the main attractions to most here. A "noobie" is a good thing here because we know that person will recieve the advice needed to further his/her passion for fishing as opposed to some other forums that would have the same person running for cover in a week. And as for "what about Glenn?", Glenns specialty is designing and maintaining the atmosphere I just described. Anyone here knows how well he does this and that's y you're still here. As for hurt feelings,...c'mon guys, you know me, this is a list for reference in case you want someone personally to answer your question. These are also the people I have PERSONALLY been helped by and feel confident in refering them. An anonymous angler asked me to add these: earthworm77 jigs Chris jigs & crankbaits Brad_Coovert C-rig Sweetwater C-rig Bowjunkie35, welcome and I look forward to getting to know you and pick your brain. Glenn- feel free to delete w/no hurt feelings, potential to go awry. Quote
Madhouse27 Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 I'm a seventeen year veteran of the beer business and would like to be added to the pro team as director of beverages. I would consider malt, hops and barley as my area of expertise as well as pursuing bass in 18 plus feet of water. Seriously, I appreciate everything that everyone ads to this board. I get as much enjoyment out of the rookie questions as I do from the experts answers. I've added to my arsenal of knowledge by reading and furthered my love of bass fishing by posting. This is a great board for everyone regardless of were you might stand in the pecking order. Quote
gamblerOH Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 madhouse27, you got more time with the barley and hops than me but that dont mean I dont know what to do with em' I'm watchin OSU and Florida right now, and studying barley and hops ;D i'm a fast learner too! Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted September 9, 2005 BassResource.com Administrator Posted September 9, 2005 c'mon guys, I seriously, seriously doubt any hard feelings were intended here. Let's be men here, ok? There's a ton of people here from all walks of life and experiences. The (growing) list of people mentioned here are known for certain areas of expertise. Yet by no means that infers everyone else is somehow inferior. I've even seen "newbies" contribute an excellent tip or two. The only reason people with less posts aren't mentioned (yet) is because you haven't had a chance to strut your stuff yet - not because you're somehow less qualified. Ok... turn Oprah off and let's git fishing! ;D Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted September 9, 2005 Author Posted September 9, 2005 SAME HERE, Pat's are on!!! woo hoo!! Added: madhouse27-director of beverages Quote
BASSMAN1301599783 Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 I can fix washing machines ;D Does that count? Quote

fatbass Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 I'll apply for the grillmaster job and in the off time I can help sample any Madhouse27 beverages. Quote
CBedo Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 I would like to apply for team waterboy. That way I get to be in all of you guy's boats, gladly furning hydration, and learning from all of you as much as possible (and maybe wet a line in some quality diverse waters). Oh yeah, and I heard you get a cool team shirt that helps you get chicks! Quote
MyKeyBe Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 We got rookies to guides to pros. We have computer wizzes, firemen and nurses. We got kids, granddads and moms. Mmmm, mmmm, mmmm. I love this bar. ;D Quote

bassackwards Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 thats what I'm sayiin... I didn't say anyone was being attacked.... I was saying, noone was being attacked, therefore noone should be offended. hah anyhow, I just want to be associated with the team. maybe get some free gear here and there. freeload off of ya perhaps. maybe give you all a few fish. lol Quote
Super User Matt Fly Posted September 9, 2005 Super User Posted September 9, 2005 I guess we need a few tournaments to decide whos book smart and who knows how to apply it. Whos the Rick Clunn in the bunch???? PS, Max-n-MN, This is a bass forum and pike and muskie expertise not needed in this section. LOL!!!! Glenn are you getting advice from Dr Phil while watching Oprah???Your response sounded like what Dr. Phil might say to us????? Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted September 9, 2005 BassResource.com Administrator Posted September 9, 2005 Ouch! LOL! ;D Quote
Nick Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 Any time anyone appoints themselves as a pro team selector makes me feel like they want to be in control. I have a wife for that duty. I get your drift LBH, but I would have worded the post differently. "Whose posts have you learned from, and what have you apploied to your angling with success? I like this board because it's not nearly as cutthroat and demeaning as some others. It has lots of newer anglers willing to learn and ask the simple questions. I would hope the blurbs stay fish related. informative, and objective. Quote
bowjunkie35 Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 I think LBH was just making a suggestion and didn't really mean that was set in stone so to speak. Really, it ws more informative if you look under the surface. Need info on a particular subject, those gents are a good place to start. Quote
Super User Matt Fly Posted September 9, 2005 Super User Posted September 9, 2005 Folks, when I ask for advise, I consider everyones opinion to be valualbe. Its up to me to decide which, and how the info is to become useful. This is what makes this a FORUM and not a chat room!!! Glenn, This has been the best forum I've been on. The wealth of info that gets posted and shared with others is a testment to guys who post on the site. I guess the TFF (texas fishinforum) is a lot of the same anglers competing in the same waters who will not share a thread of info. Very tight lipped!!! Quote
