I have caught a few in strip pit that are 60+ ft. deep.  I was in a kayak though so I don't know exactly where are how deep I caught them.

While finesse fishing the clear waters in the SoCal reservoirs, I was catching 6 - 8 lb. florida strains in over 40+ feet. You have to bring them up slowly or you will kill them for sure. Even then swim bladders would bulge and have to be deflated to get the fish to swim again. ....:o

While here in Kansas the deepest fish I have caught is 20 feet, and I still bring them up to the boat slowly.

Tight Lines!     ;)

Here in Indiana the deepest I've caught LMB is in around 30 ft of water.

I was wondering about the method of deflating the swim bladder...because sometimes in tournaments I'll catch 'em in 18 - 20 ft of water and they'll stay on their side in the livewell.  I need to learn how to "deflate" these fish.

I'm gonna do a search right now...but in the meantime...if anyone has the correct way or method to deflate these fish...let me know please.  Thanks

we have people come in to the store i work at saying they will get them at 50-60ft thats on lanier but every thing you can catch on lainer has to be deeper the like 25ft or at this time of year. earlyer this month they were catching stripers 100+ft in the tree top you have to find a hole in the tree tops to catch them.

Deepest I have caught bass here in Arizona is around 100 feet of water spooning and dropshotting.  We catch alot of our fish in the winter and summer in the 50-70 ft range.

There is a easier way to fizz your fish just take a fizz needle stick it down there throat between there crunchers and depress on the stomach. you will hear the air coming out of them .  its  also smart to throw them back right away or put them in the live well with the please release me now treatment to insure they dont go into shock.

there is another way and thats to barely hook them under the mouth with a big jig and let the jig take them down to 30+ foot of water them give the rod a fast snap ripping the hook put of there skin . hey it works.

probaly around 80% of the fish I catch are deeper than 30 ft  and I have not lost to many fish in tournaments since I fizz my fish right away and use additives such as please release me now and if its in the summer time I keep lots of ice with me to keep them cool intellI can weigh them in
