Crazybait Posted August 29, 2005 Posted August 29, 2005 Thinking about pitching a senko and have a few questions. Spinning or baitcaster? What kind of hook to use? Swivel or no swivel? Quote
Super User flechero Posted August 29, 2005 Super User Posted August 29, 2005 Either will work, I'd lean towards the baitcaster because I can flip and pitch more accurately and can use heavier line with it. No swivel. Hook depends... if you are rigging weedless, use 2/0 - 5/0 worm hook ; depending on size of bait, desired sink rate and size of fish in the area. If you are pitching it wacky style, probably go with a smaller, straight shank hook. Quote
Cujo Posted August 29, 2005 Posted August 29, 2005 if you look at a couple threads above this one (Got a question about SENKOS?) you will find everything you need to know about senkos Quote
senko_77 Posted August 29, 2005 Posted August 29, 2005 go with the baitcaster, use a swivel only if you are having trouble with weight. as for the hook, use a 1/0 wide gap gamakatsu finnese hook for the wacky rigging. its enough to hook the fish, but it doesnt get cuaght up in weeds Quote
