My absolute favorite is BASSMASTER.  I am biased, though, in the fact that it is currently the only magazine that I am getting.

However, I have heard several great things about the FLW Tour magazine and the magazine that GYCB publishes, Inside Line.  The people that I have spoke with say that Inside Line, although there are only 6 magazines/year, has more information than most other magazines twice the size and published twice as often.

If you are into the mult-species side of fishing, I recommed In-Fisherman, if they are still being published.  Since Al Linder and In-Fisherman have parted ways, I have not heard much about it.

One magazine that I can honestly look you in the eye and say not to waste your money on is NAFC's rag of a publication.  The articles are shotty, at best, the club sends you "free gifts" that aren't worth getting for free (yes, that's how BAD they are), and although they say that they have a huge fan base, I have heard more complaints about this magazine and organization than I have heard good things.

The only one I get is Bassmaster. I used to get Bassin', but I quit them years ago, even though it was a good magazine, because I despised their business tactics.

Bassmasters is a good one, quite a bit of info,

plus you get the tournament results.

I like Bassin also, some fairly good articles in there.

FLW outdoors would be a great magazine if it were all about bass fishing. My hope is that some day the Walleye, redfish, and Kingfish tours will get their own magazine.

RW, in-line or infisherman good big bass mags?

I'll probly look into bassmaster. but like LBH said with replacin his mags with this site.... well, I never had mags, so I won't have to replace 'em.. lol

I'm not much into the whole tournament side of fishing...  I want the good stuff, the lunkers out there.   ;D

however, catchin bass is always nice regardless, so there is always somethin to learn.

In-Fisherman is a multispecies magazine, but there are always bass articles in every issue. Probably the best article I've seen anywhere in a long time is an interview with Rick Clunn in the June/July '05 issue.

Every issue features largemouth and smallmouth bass articles as well as catfish, walley, pike and trout. Techniques, rigs, patterns and scientific studies of fish and their habitat are all included. It's by far the most informative fishing magazine out there.

Inside Line is NOT just a Gary Yamamoto promotional magazine. Sure, they usually have an article on fishing a GYBC product, but even that is very informative. Lots of indepth interviews with the pros and lots of helpful articles of particular regional interest. I prefer this magazine hands down over Bassmaster. Also, JT Bagwell (remember him?) is a staff writer for the publication.

I like a mag that noone has mentioned.  I think it is only published in some states.  Here it is called "Florida Game and Fish" and I know I subscribed to the same thing back in MO.  I liked it because it was always about fish and hunting in your state and quite often about the waters you are fishing.

If you're looking for tournament coverage:

FLW Outdoors

BASS TIMES

If you're looking for bass fishing tips and how-to's:

In Fisherman

Bassin'

Bassmaster

BASS TIMES

It comes down to what you are actually looking for in a magazine.I prefer tournament coverage, therefore I get FLW and BASS TIMES.

I've only seen one of the Inside Line mags but I did enjoy reading the articles, very informative.

I like In fisherman since I fish a variety of species. I will say though, their mag's seem to get thinner and thinner each year, not sure what's up with that :-/

#1. BASSMASTERS

#2. BASSN

#3. MICHIGAN OUT OF DOORS (or whatever your state has.)

I have a subscribtion to in-fisherman, and the articles they do are great. They had an awesome interview with rick clunn in a while ago, but they have a lot of articles i dont even bother to read, since i dont fish for a lot of the species they write about.

I used to subscribe to In-Fisherman and it was always a top notch publication. Has the mag gone downhill at all since the Lindner split? I might have to start getting that one again. I get Bassmaster and think it is just ok. I think I've learned more from this website than any magazine thats for sure.

I think that Bassin has more "in hands" fishing articles than bassmaster. I get both, but as some have said, this website is much better. Where can you ask such specific questions of fishing and get good anwsers, no mag. does that.  ;)
