I am looking to start using tubes alot more for fishing cover like docks and lay down. I have tried the zoom tube and although I am a big fan of most of their plastics I dont care much for their tube. I would like to use something with a little more weight or something with a solid or almost solid center. Any sugestions ?

P.S.  What size and Kind (not brand) of hook do you use?

ISG Dream tubes, although still hollow, have super thick walls and are loaded with salt.  The Strike King Wild Thang is a tube like bait with a solid head for easier rigging.

Yum 4.25 Vibra Tube in white is just down right deadly weightless. I fish alot of tubes and it seems like there is no ONE tube. Sometimes they like the yum other times its the mizmo. Its best to have a good stock of different brands. The must have's for me are Yum, KVD, Mizmo, Chompers, Zoom. The one tube i would like to try is the Snoozer tube.

Roadkill Camo is fast becoming my #1 tube color.  It works in any color water, anywhere I go.

Sweet Beavers in the same color work great as well.

I have some worms in that color too, but have yet to try them.

Anyone know of any Senko baits in Roadkill Camo?

Any tube by strike king is a great tube...I have some mizmos too as well as the yum 4.25 vibra tubes in white as mentioned above. Personally, i like the zoom tubes, they are very cheap and catch a lot of fish. Every once in a while, i will go with a craw tube as well in either Brown or Brown with red fleck.

As far as colors go, i have a lot of luck  with christmas tree tubes, or anything green. I mostly use tubes flippin rock or timber and anything crayfish colored is going to work.

All I use is Zoom.  I like how they are, and with a 1/0 hook, they are deadly.  2/0 is too big for them.

I fish them almost anyplace I can throw.  One thing that I do try to look for is scattered rocks, so that it seems like a crawdad making his escape to the nearest rock.

However, I have watched crawdads that were buried into the bank, come out, and migrate over a clean bottom, probably sand or dirt.  When I saw this, I knew that fishing a craw anywhere was a great idea.   ;D

Those wickedtubes look great!  I wish this stuff was available locally.   It seems like I can only get the usual generic crap at Wal-Mart.  We have a Fisherman's Warehouse out here in Rocklin CA, but they don't even carry Fat Ikas.   >:(

Someone should open a bait shop with good hard to find products.  ::)

They have, its called www.***.com  ;D ;D

If you're looking for a good thicker tube, I prefer chompers ultra tube.  Excellent tube, tons of flavor!  :-*

When I want a thinner tube, I go to zoom.   :D

Another great brand to try are Rite Bite tubes made by Terry's Tackle who bought Schubert's Lure's. Although they may be harder to find they hold up extremely well, have alot of salt, and a special scent put in them.

Hey Hookhead, I was in that exact store, Fishermans Warehouse and was looking for some Fat Ika's myself...none to be found.  I was also looking for some Zoom Horny toads.....completely out.  So I was only able to spend about $115.00 there last Friday night   ;D

Visit earthworm77's company site, micromunchtackle. Great tubes, Fatzilia and other quality products, especially jigs.
