A bag of 7" Red Shad Culprit worms dude, assuming the weights are bullet sinkers. If not, get the Culprits anyway. ;D

I found a really, really good deal at my wal-mart the other day. A 3600-type box chock full of soft plastics by luck-e-strike. Hooks, glass beads, slip bullets, senko types, flukes, french fries, lizards, several types of finesse worms. .....$7.99

If you can find that, get it.

I don't think I have ever caught anything on a red worm. I haven't even read anyone recommending red worms. Hey R/W, is red "dark"?  ;D I have the red culprits. You are telling me they work? How are you fishing them?

This time of year,,you definately want some soft plastics.  Seems like all the bass will bite when the hot summer weather kicks in.  Besides, you dont have to be an expert to catch fish on a worm. For years i caught bass just throwing them out and swimming them straight back.  Culprits are great worms,,cant beat the tail action IMO.  But i like the Tequila shad myself.

Sorry about the screwup. They are red with a wide streak of black down the back, and yes, they really do catch bass.

I kind of consider the red worms seasonal around here, late fall early spring.  But the blk/red seems to have gotten pretty popular around here lately at least in the stores.

I'd buy a couple of packages of zoom 7" worms in watermelonseed, a package of worm hooks, and some 1/4 oz. bullet weights.  If your not into plastics, I'd buy a Chrome/blue Rat-l-trap and a shad colored torpedo.  I could catch something on most days with one of those two.

you cant go wrong with some Zoom U-tails and Zoom Trick Worms. they are usually around 2 or 3 bucks so they are pretty cheap and they catch fish

If you still have $10.00 or have scraped up another $10.00, look for the 150 piece Manns Dragin series bass combo kit. I just picked one up tonight for $9.85. This kit is sweet.

10 - 3" shadows

25 - 4' dragin finesse

5 - 5.5" dragin worms

5 - 4" jerk shads

10 - 6" jelly worms

10 - 5" mannipulators

10 - 6" lizards

10 - 4' super finnesse

10 - hooks

3 - swivels

20 - beads

1 - box ::) I love how they include the box.

Nice kit though.

If they have the Edge knockoffs of the Senkos then get a box.  Some Wal-Marts have them and others do not.

I would definitley get the finness kit, 1/0 ewg Lazer sharp hooks(red), and a white spinnerbait. My  Walmart has spinnerbaits for a dollar. They work pretty good.

I definetly agree, the zoom u-tails are the bomb! They have great action....go with either pumkin/chartruse, or as was said before: red shad...I have a pack of each.  My dad and i caught several keeper bass last night on the pumpkin/chartruse.
