crank it Posted July 17, 2005 Posted July 17, 2005 Is there alot of truth to this topic Ifish alot of the time with floats a would like to know and hear from other guys that do to i've used different float styles but never really noticed the difference Quote
BASSMAN1301599783 Posted July 17, 2005 Posted July 17, 2005 It has been my experience that pencil bobbers seem to be pulled under easier than the round type, so it would be easier to detect a hit. I also like them because I can see it better in low light or choppy water because of the high profile. Quote
crank it Posted July 17, 2005 Author Posted July 17, 2005 Yeh thats the onlyi did notice was the pencil ones do work better in choppy water do the smaller oval slip bobbers cause much resistince went a fish pulls it under have you noticed that they do Quote
BASSMAN1301599783 Posted July 17, 2005 Posted July 17, 2005 I think it about the same. Or its so small of a difference you cant notice. Quote
Chris Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 When I crappie fish sometimes I use a style of balsa float thats long and thin. If a fish sniffs my bait I know it and sometimes with crappie they will grab the bait and just sit there and with this style I know they hit my bait. Quote
