Low_Budget_Hooker Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 I have this lump on my finger where the pressure from my reel is. I get it every year and it goes away in the winter. If I fish for 4 or 5 days in a row, it gets really huge where it stands out visually to others. There is absolutely no pain and it is under the skin and not a callous. Anyone else get anything like this? It doesn't bother me at all, and in fact it makes me a bit proud! lol Quote
BASSMAN1301599783 Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 I get the same kind of thing on the back of my wrist. It started after i broke it. The docs say it a tendon that gets a bubble in it or leaks fluid out of it when it gets agitated. Ya might want to get it checked out. Quote
Redtail Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 I was at a private pond last night and decided to fish near a small bridge. The bridge is about 6 feet across and about 6 feet above the brook below it. There were two 4 X 4's to walk across. I got half way over and they both snapped like twigs (rotten I guess). I fell in the brook below, scraped up pretty good, but didn't break anything except I disagree. d**n that hurt, I can barely sit today! Does that qualify as a deformity? Quote
Redtail Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 The above mentioned was suppose to be my behind. I guess it got bleeped out. Quote
Super User 5bass Posted June 23, 2005 Super User Posted June 23, 2005 Back a few years ago I set the hook(with braided line) and partially tore a tendon near my elbow.Couldn't fish for a month.Well, the doc said to not fish for a month.I really didnt listen that well back then. It has gotten better over the past couple years but on the real hard hooksets I can feel the tingle in my elbow. Not an actual deformity but...... Quote
tie1on Posted June 24, 2005 Posted June 24, 2005 I cant fish with rods that have a blank thru handle. They make my hand go numb and If I do use one my hand will stay numb for days.I've never had that checked out but probably should. Quote
