plbab Posted June 2, 2005 Posted June 2, 2005 Hello all. This is a great site. I was fishing a new lake yesterday that is not fished much. The lake has many large weed beds and areas that are covered in moss. I was fishing for crappie, and noticed many good sized bass that ignored me. What is a good bait to use in heavy cover? I caught a few small bass on a Mister Twister, but no large ones. Are there weedless lures to use? Thanks you Paul Quote
Chris Posted June 2, 2005 Posted June 2, 2005 Welcome to the forum! If you have the tackle for it I would try a scum frog on top of the moss or a soft jerkbait would work. If you can hit the open areas try a wacky worm. Quote
