I am fishing a clear lake so many times i can see a fish and then cast to it, nothing i throw at it seems to work. Does anyone have some suggestions on what kinda of bait to throw slow or fast retreive?

Thanks

all of the ponds i fish are extremely clear and i can see the fish before they bite.  sometimes it's like they see me and won't bite but other times they don't notice me and i'll throw out a Yum worm and this past weekend it caused a feeding frenzy just like the package says it will. i'm not kidding there was a swarm of bass around my worm.  majority of the time i throw a plastic worm... a yum mostly becuase they are flavored but i have begun to try and expand and this past weekend i caught fish on everything i had...crankbaits, spinners, top waters, worms

sorry forgot to mention with i throw the worm i texas rig it and put a weight on it and just jig if across the bottom letting it sit every foot or so, also make sure you aren't just casting directly at the fish ...you want to get their attention so cast over and just to the side that way the lure will be near them when you reel in

what I do is after I spot the fish I back off and throw a  weightless worm and let the wind or current  take the worm to the fish. dropshotting small robo worms also works good in this situation
