JT Bagwell Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 Did you have big speaking roles, minor roles or work as an extra? In other words, if we watched them could we easily see you? JT Bagwell Quote
D.Taylor Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 Did you have any lines in these movies or was you an extra? im sure id rember that mug Quote
squid Posted March 25, 2005 Author Posted March 25, 2005 Well in the TV shows I had bit parts...no speaking roles. In the movies I was a working extra. So yes in TV you can see me really good and know it is me, cause I have lots of camera time. In the movies that I have worked on, I can find myself...lol When I got started, I never knew there was such a thing as a perfessional Extra, but some have been doing that for 5-15 yrs, and some are in the Union too. Not me...I gave it 2 yrs, and if I didn't get any speaking part I was on to my next role in Life. The Union Extras do pretty good finacially, but it took me 2 yrs just to get there, but I had had enough with that. It was fun while it lasted, but I needed to see what I really enjoyed more. I do miss it, but don't want to go back. One reason why I quit was I got really good a selling sports cards and Insurance. Was better money for me, then moved back to Mich. Now I am freezing my butt off...lol...wish I could go back there and do what I am doing now....lmao.....Bigger Bass out there. 2 Quote
JT Bagwell Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 Sounds like you had a pretty interesting time. JT Bagwell Quote
squid Posted March 25, 2005 Author Posted March 25, 2005 Oh I really enjoyed it. Met some really cool people and some buttheads too. But that is Show Bizz Quote
basspro05 Posted March 26, 2005 Posted March 26, 2005 Back on the autograph topic, I have a hat signed by: Roland Martin, Jimmy houston, kevin vandam, shaw grigsby, brent chapman, woo daves, dean rojas, rich tauber, edwin evers, david fritts, mark davis, denny brauer, chad brauer, mark menendez, gary klein, joe thomas, gerald swindle, and Davy hite. squid Posted March 30, 2005 Author Posted March 30, 2005 If you give up on getting Omori's let me know. I will send it to you. I dont collect them, I just had the magazine with me when I met Swindle and Omori and had them sign it. Both signed their pics. If you collect them, it would mean more to me for you to have them than for me to have them. GamblerFL, That would be really cool of you to do that for me, but half the fun is getting them yourself. To give you an idea...I collect Michael Jordan autographs, but can you imagine how much more it would mean to me if I got one on my own? That would be so awesome to meet him in person, ya know? Same thing goes for the fishing pros too. But if you do ever feel the need to throw it my way :..lol... I will take them off your hands Quote

My collection has Woo Daves, Shaw Grigsby, Chad Grigsby, Denny Brauer, Dave Lefebre, Kim Stricker, Kevin VanDam, and Jimmy Houston. You need Gary Klein then . I know a guy who has one if you’re interested ? Quote

Captain Phil Posted May 14, 2021 Posted May 14, 2021 I have a rod signed by Jimmy Houston and a hat signed by Dean Rojas after he set the one day 45 pound record at Toho. I don't believe they have any real value other than to me. I also have a copy of the book Bass Boss signed by Ray Scott. I met him at the Classic. We talked about the old says and he was nice enough to sign my book. 2 Quote
Super User J Francho Posted May 14, 2021 Super User Posted May 14, 2021 The Ragetail hat in my avatar is signed by the entire team, but I wear it so much they all faded out. Quote
Jaderose Posted May 14, 2021 Posted May 14, 2021 My shoes have someone's initials on them. L and R. Whoever that is. My wife swears she didn't write it. 2 Quote

Super User MIbassyaker Posted May 15, 2021 Super User Posted May 15, 2021 I have a few autographed books, most of which were acquired randomly from buying used on online marketplaces, at normal prices, when the autograph wasn't mentioned in the listing. I can't actually verify the authenticity of them, but who would fake the signature of a fishing personality? Tony Bean seems to have autographed the outside cover of this copy of his book: This one is direct from the Lindners, at least...the reprint of "Catching Fish", republished a few years ago. I think they just signed and numbered all the copies: 1 Quote
The Bassman Posted May 15, 2021 Posted May 15, 2021 Kinda glad the new member resurrected this thread. A lot of younger guys wouldn't know who I was talking about but when I was a kid I got Gadabout Gaddis's autograph. He was "The Flying Fisherman" (not for the lure but for his float plane). Quote

I think Big O signed it as well. Just came across it packing my fishing gear, and you can sort of make some out. Quote
BBuck Posted May 15, 2021 Posted May 15, 2021 Roland Martin, Scott Martin, Hank Parker, Gerald Swindle, Jason Christie, Andrew Upshaw, Brian Latimer, KVD, Gary Yamamoto, and Jordan Lee. That, that's about it. Quote
Captain Phil Posted May 15, 2021 Posted May 15, 2021 Anyone have an autograph from Jason Lucas? If you do, you are really old. ? Quote

I'm starting to feel like I may have at least a couple of the Apostles who fished... I don't do autographs, I've met and worked with quite a few celebrities and pro athletes, but I probably would make an exception for Larry Nixon, always liked his style, and KVD because, well, he's KVD.
