basskid1 Posted March 23, 2005 Author Posted March 23, 2005 My dad takes me fishing on the weekends we normaly go up six mile creek or we go up drubin and juligton creek but, i go fishing everyday after school in a pond that me and my dad have been putting fish in for about 2 years and the bass really seem to like sincos but im trying to figure out what to use after a storm? Would it be top water or texas rig, ??? Quote
hookem19 Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 what a life...fishing every day wish i could do that...just can't wait til this summer Quote
flippnfish Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 Buzzbait, spinnerbait while its raining or still overcast.. If a strong front comes through and you have high bluebird skys, try flippn or pitching a jig or beaver into cover till you find out what they are holding on... Quote
clooney Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 basskid, that looks like a pretty nice largemouth you're holding there!! Quote
RM_Bassman14 Posted March 24, 2005 Posted March 24, 2005 yea no kidding i wish i was catching fish like that! you must be doing somethign right~! Quote
tie1on Posted March 24, 2005 Posted March 24, 2005 After a storm I have caught alot of fish using a crawfish or lizard with a 4/0 hook and no weight. Quote
Fl._Flippin_Fool Posted March 24, 2005 Posted March 24, 2005 To tell you the truth, you will get a 1000 answers to this question and for the most part none of them the same. Conditions change and people use so many diff. ways to adjust to them. Best thing to do is just keep trying one new bait after another till you find what works for you. From the picture, you have lots of time to make a note book of what you try and what did or did not work in what condition. Then when you are an Old feller like me you will have a book full of tricks that will win you many tournaments. Good luck!!! Quote

chefxian Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 There is an apartment complex called St Augustine Lakes. They have a small pond but they also have a little lake where you can take a jon boat with a trolling motor or a kayak. There are some good fish in there with a decent weedline. Good luck and let me know. Oh yea the place is on St Augustine road by the 295. Quote
