Good topic...enjoy reading what others plan on getting better at in comparison to their current strengths.

I am going to FORCE myself to become more versatile with crankbaits - shallow and deep.  The 'David Fritz' of the world catch fish everywhere with them, and use little or nothing else.

Number two, like I have read a lot of others state,

gonna work on the dreaded 'finesse' of drop shotting.

I already kind of started with the carolina rig i fished it once already this year.  I plan to fish it many times this year to get it down pat.

I appreciate all the talk about throwing jigs. Other than throwing them at the base and into the knees of the cypress trees here in Fla I have no clue how to fish them. I know plenty of people that have great success throwing them, but I have such a hard time with the thought of throwing this big hunk'n jig into heavy grass and being able to keep in free and clear enough to catch a fish.

Any suggestions???
