Detroit3Pistons Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 Kinda weird question but I'll ask it anyways. I was wondering if you guys eat on the water when your fishing. If you do eat on the water do you eat in tournaments and what do you usually bring for lunch? I personally only eat sun flower seeds and drink Gatorade. Quote
Mike H. Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 Soda's, sandwiches for lunch...other snacks also. Sunflower seeds are always good. Quote
BamaBassn78 Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 I usually carry a couple of sandwiches and some friut. Most of the time i eat a good breakfast so i don't get too hungry till lunch time. And plenty of water... Quote

Super User KU_Bassmaster. Posted March 7, 2005 Super User Posted March 7, 2005 Pistachios, I chew them like sunflower seeds. Quote
Super User Marty Posted March 7, 2005 Super User Posted March 7, 2005 I don't fish tournaments, but I have at various times, carrots, hard-boiled eggs, sandwich, sodas, yogurt and apples. Usually a thermos of ice water, too, often in lieu of the sodas. Quote
Chris Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 I bring Gatorade, a jug of water, and some jerky Quote
Big_Bass_Rich Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 Haha my friend and I bring a whole smorgasboard of food when we're on the water (not in tournaments). Sometimes we even fry up a few fish on the shoreline (never bass!). I have trademark triple decker sandwiches called "Simswiches" that a lot of anglers in the area are addicted to! lol Chef Sims is in the house! ;D Quote
DumbLuck Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 Lake food= Vienna's Potted meat Nabs jerky pork skins with either Pepsi's or Mountain Dew Quote
Redtail Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 Get a wide mouth thermos and fill it with boiling water. Drop in a couple hot dogs and bring some buns. Bang - Hot lunch! Quote
BCAlbin Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 Great idea Redtail, never thought of that! I usually pack some high-carb energy bars like Clif bars. They don't really fill you up if you're hungry but they do keep you going 'til you make it to real food. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted March 7, 2005 Super User Posted March 7, 2005 Thick sliced grilled bologna, slab of sharp cheddar & mustard on fresh Wonder Bread. Add a dash of Tabasco Sauce and a side of salt & vineger chips, ooh-wee, now we're talking. I went fishing ONCE without any beer and the fish wouldn't bite, won't let that happen again. Quote
AOY Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 Sandwich of some sort, peanut butter crackers, and water or pop. I also like sunflower seeds or a BIG CHAW OF LEVI! Quote
