Went down to a lake in middle alabama saturday, it's in the town of Livingston. It's one of the best lakes in the state for big fish. He had this one around 6 plus another around 2. His first crankbait fish.He outfished the ole man again:)

yeah, he'll be 14 on the 22nd. He's a dang good fisherman for sure, every time I teach him something he has a habit of out fishing me, heck, I've seen him outfish everyone on a pier, outfish everyone on a boat during a offshore run, if it's a fish he'll catch it.

This year will our first of him and myself fishing some tournaments and I look forward to having him with me. I need some help :)

You all get to fish alot! :o

I might get to fish 2 times a month max!  I would love to fish every day..but the old man has to work, and the fact that we live in ohio, with no lakes within 20 miles doesnt help...lol.  I can wait till i can drive, then ill be gone!  Tell your son he's a lucky sonofagun.

Nice fish!!  Tell your son congrats!  My son was just like that at his age.  he was the luckiest fisherman.  Took him to Canada, outfished me.  Took him on our 5 acre pond, outfished me.  He was so lucky, we were out in the mddle of the pond one day, he had the net in his hand, thrust it in the water and pulled out a 5.5 pounder....no joke!  I about fell out of the boat LOL ;D ;D

Very nice fish! I have several Dads bring their sons or daughters on my boat. I always make a point of congradulateing them on a job well done in the Dad department. More dads should take the time and take their kids fishing.
