hey guys i am new to this forum but post quite a bit on others. I love fishing and am a freshman at missouri s&t and am getting a club started so if anyone know any contacts etc to help me out shoot me a PM. Thanks

I went down to kentucky lake this past weekend to show some guys a few spots for a tournament they have in April and man was it brutal. The lake had 4-6 foot swells both days on the maiin channel so we couldnt fish the spots i really wanted to fish. I did have some other spots that we fished and caught some fish for it being so cold and nasty out.

I did end up catching this big hawg on sunday morning!

I couldn't make it out of paris landing marina. If it was 80 degrees out I wouldn't have minded getting wet, but like you said it was rough out there.  Those waves on the river were every bit of 4 ft.

We turned out of kenlake on saturday and we were immediately getting pounded by them. The bfl guys were actually weighing in early because they were getting beaten up so bad.

I watched an aluminum flat bottom head out, and as soon as he took off his wife or gf start screaming. He came back 5 minutes later and put the boat on the trailer.

He must have ticked her off.

;D HAHA! that is crazy! do you have any suggestions for fishing this cold muddy water? i have never had to experience this down there at this time of year and we just stumbled into the fish that we did catch. no real rhyme or reason. PM me if you want but i need to get to 10 posts before I can reply to messages or send messages

I tend to try and not fish that cold muddy water. ;) If I have to though I usually go shallow. I could tell the river was pretty muddy, but the marina wasn't too bad. The two fish I caught were in less than 5 ft of water and I had three more bites in less than 6.

I haven't even considered Barkley after that rain we had. If I had to fish really muddy water I would go shallow, preferably in a creek.

Nice fish. Looks like that fish has been eating the shad kill at will.  :)

Great catch! Look at the gut on that girl, she's getting ready.
