tallydude Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 So I was excited to finally get on the water since moving to Wichita. I decided to head to Cheney Reservoir since I had heard good things. Then I saw this: <sigh> I miss Florida. Quote

Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted February 14, 2011 Global Moderator Posted February 14, 2011 One good thing about Kansas is if you're in the right part of the state you can get to a powerplant lake that will almost always have open water! I'm from the KC area and headed to Wolf Creek tomorrow. Been catching them really well down there really well all winter. Most years our other lakes don't ice out until early/mid March. Some ponds will ice out sooner if they're in the right spots. We're almost there! Just another month or so probably . Another plus is that Chaney is supposed to be good for ice fishing too! ;D Quote
