Memphisballer Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 Went out to Tennessee River this weekend with my good friend Kent a.k.a. Roadwarrior. Saturday the temperature was mid 50's in the morning. The water temp was about 55 degrees. TVA had 8 gates opened and the current was a rockin. We started out with topwater. We had no takers. Went to some jerks. Not much going on. Threw a jig on a drop off and kaboom!!! I got the better of this 5 pound smallie (my PB). At first I thought I had a big ole drum as he did not come up immediately. But this dude came to the surface and I had smiles ear to ear. ;D If you have not introduced yourself to Roadwarrior I suggest you do so. He has a wealth of fishing knowledge and he is one of the nicest guys on the planet. Thanks again Kent. Quote

Super User roadwarrior Posted December 7, 2010 Super User Posted December 7, 2010 With eight floodgates open and water release at 95,000 cfs, the fishing will be great if we can get a break in the weather. We tried again Sunday morning, but with 15 mph wind and temperatures in the 20s it was a no-go. I'm just glad we got in a little on Saturday! Quote
Super User senile1 Posted December 8, 2010 Super User Posted December 8, 2010 Sweet. That's a beautiful smallie! You guys really make me jealous fishing the Tennessee. Quote
