Super User Chris at Tech Posted November 10, 2010 Super User Posted November 10, 2010 My father in law and I had our best day on Varner yet today. We put about a dozen largemouth in the boat, all of them on Pointers except one that hit a lipless crank. Our best 5 would have gone 26+, anchored by a 7.5 that I got and the 8.25 that my father in law got 10 minutes later. We got another just under 5 lbs, and a bunch of 3lbers. Then a bit of a reality check set in...My big fish combined with my father in law's big fish was about the size of Randall's 15 lb monster Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted November 10, 2010 Super User Posted November 10, 2010 An excellent day of fishing !!!!!! Quote
shimmy Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 goodness man...yah know, there are a lot of people on this site who would have claimed the 7.5 as a ten pounder. That 7.5 is huge and the 8.25 is just ginormous. Congratulations on the domination. Man, what a day fellas Quote
Super User Dwight Hottle Posted November 10, 2010 Super User Posted November 10, 2010 Nice long fish. Really nice of you to let your father in law get the bigger one! Quote

Randall Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 wow good fish guys. are those northern strain or florida strain There are both Florida and northern genetics in the lake. Fish with Florida genetics were in one of the ponds that was flooded when the lake was built. Quote

farmpond1 Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 Way to go, man! Based on the number of views, you just made about 174 fishermen turn a vivid shade of green! About a month ago, my brother and I pulled in a 5, a 4, and about six 3 lbers and I was in hog heaven. But that's nothing compared to your day! Jumpin' Jehosephat!!!! Quote
