indymusky Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 So I found out today when you throw a Jitterfish into boils in can be really rewarding. Day started off rainy and windy but the bite was a better one then ive experienced in awhile and landed a bunch of quality fish. On one cast with the jitterfish it got destroyed on a steady slow retrieve and the fish shot down and all the sudden boom it gets hit again and goes limp with no fight but i can tell theirs still a fish on, it comes to the surface and its a double hookup on the same lure and one gets airborne at the surface. ended with around 25 fish 6 fish on the jitter. Watch the video below to see the fight!!!! Quote
DINK WHISPERER Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 Man that is just plain awesome! Congrats Quote
Super User SoFlaBassAddict Posted November 1, 2010 Super User Posted November 1, 2010 That was pretty d**n cool to watch. Great fish! Quote
Super User Dwight Hottle Posted November 1, 2010 Super User Posted November 1, 2010 Great video. Just goes to show how competitive bass can be when they are hungry. Quote
Fishing Cowgirl Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 And they are both nice sized fish. Thanks for sharing! Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted November 3, 2010 Super User Posted November 3, 2010 Call me skeptical, but you never see the strike on those 2 fish. The film was edited after the strike...if it happened that way. Also, they're not fighting...at all when you pull them into the boat. Sorry, i just find it....fishy. Quote
Super User KYntucky Warmouth Posted November 3, 2010 Super User Posted November 3, 2010 That was on a jitterfish? I can't get any action out of mine, it just pushes water and glides to one side until about 3/4 of the way back Quote

Ive been slaying fish out here since i moved and been filming for over two years and compete in socal tournaments. It takes to much effort and time by the other fisherman to film a entire complete day while theyre fishing. What happens is well stick a fish say fish on the other guy grabs the camera you get the fight, the fish and the release on film. And if you watch the video the fish is fighting very well and jumping. Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted November 3, 2010 Super User Posted November 3, 2010 Whatever you say pal. Quote
indymusky Posted November 4, 2010 Author Posted November 4, 2010 That was on a jitterfish? I can't get any action out of mine, it just pushes water and glides to one side until about 3/4 of the way back i wouldnt use a swimbait rod with it because its to stiff and i changed out the swivel and put a smaller one on. NewAngler Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 I'm a skeptic, too. Unless you do that ALL the time, you didn't seem too excited. I, like many other anglers, would have been doing backflips in the boat if they got two swimbait fish on one lure. AND it was edited. Regardless, two nice fish! Quote
Mattlures Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 I gotta stick up for Indymsky, obviously he was using my bait Anyways he has been slaying fish out here for a while and consistantly catches many and big fish. I understand anybody being sceptical when the clip does not show the cast but I also understand not having a camera on all day and having your buddy start recording once the fish is on and fighting. I would think if the video was staged he would have started it just before the hookset to make it look more authentic. The clip starting as he is fighting the fish, to me, seems much more real and spontanious and they way things actualy happen. I have been invited on lakes when guys are filming fishing shows and I have seen them stage a video and when you see it on TV you would never know. Also I have caught 2 fish on one cast several times using topwater baits (not mine) mostly rapalas, and I can tell you that they dont realy fight as they are stuck to each other. Its like alot of weight with a little fight. Obviously I am biassed because he caught them on my bait but I do believe the video is totaly legit. KYntucky Warmouth maybe your line is sinking or your rod is too stiff or your going too fast? In any case if it is the bait then send me an email at my site and I will exchange it for you. Quote
Super User fourbizz Posted November 10, 2010 Super User Posted November 10, 2010 It happens. They dont fight well. I caught a couple nice ones (a 6 and a 4) on one sinking bait and they came in like a propeller, both rotating around the bait in the center, lol. Quote
indymusky Posted November 11, 2010 Author Posted November 11, 2010 thanks matt, and sorry to hear bout the hunting trip. My messages disappeard from the sd but what swimbaits usually do good at el cap, i know they dont stock trout so maybe a baby bass color, cuz i didnt see to many bluegill around either. Tons of micro bass as far as the eye can see is all i ran into all day. Quote

I was throwing it on a MH Zillion rod but I think it has 17lb Flourocarbon on it so I have a feeling it was the line, threw it on 20lb CXX with no problems so I think that was the problem. Quote
