We took the kayaks up the river saturday. 70+ degrees, very light wind. and sunny. any shady spot, fallen tree, or rock seemed to hold a bass. it hasn't rained for at least a week, but this section is about 3-6 feet average depth. the water stays a bit stained all the time. i caught a few @ 15-16" and several smaller guys. I used a 4" Zoom "the fluke", not super flukes, on a wide gap worm hook and no weight. just letting it drop down and twitch seemed to do the trick. great time.

Nice day and pic. I've been meaning to go out on my river just haven't yet. I do want to go for some Smallmouth's myself. Way to go!

I love fishin' smallies on the rivers.  I'm heading out this weekend here in Mn.  We are just getting back to regular water levels after a huge flood.  Hope the bass are there and in a feeding mood.  Nice to meet another river addict.
