Went to our usual pond this evening with my fishing partner. Very slow day to begin with - Alex catching a fish around 14" and another about 12". We were fishing along the back-side bank around some fallen timber that usually produces some good fish, but tonight we weren't getting anything. I was throwing a Green Pumpkin Baby Brush Hog and right as we said we were going to move to our last spot - WHAM! A hard hit pretty close to the boat. Didn't put up much of a fight and netted him pretty easy. I knew he was my first three pounder so I got the camera out of the tackle bag. As soon as my friend turned it on, the batteries were dead! >:( So I pull out the cell phone and try to use it but he couldn't get a good pic...That was the worst part about tonight - not being able to get a nice picture :(

I've had the same luck this year.  I've always caught a lot of bass just never any good sized ones.  This year I've caught numerous 4+ and one just over 5.  Being on this site and going with new people who are good teachers really helps.  Go get some more.

WTG! I agree, that bass is pushing the 4 lb mark.

I had the same kind of luck this year. You say to yourself 'what the heck, one more cast before I move' and then BANG! Fish on. I caught my first and third PB of the season on the what the heck last cast...Gotta love it tho, huh?

Congrats on the nice fish.
