Although it was a little windy, the cloudy sky and cooler air made it a nice day for fishing.

Absolutely! this is such a welcome relief from the brutal mid-summer heat.

By the way, the fishing has really turned on here in New England, with the cloud cover and daytime temps. only in the 60's.

We fished webster lake on sunday and it was the same conditions. However the bite was meh

I caught a 1lber on my 1st cast and then a pick 15 min later

that was it for me from 630 to 3pm

buddies caught a few, nothing special

Hey Fat-G, you're almost right. It's a  Dobyns Champion Extreme, DX 704c, 2nd gen made in Korea. I put a Calais reel on it and it rocks. I guess Gary had quality control problems with the rods made in China, but these new rods from Korea seem to be  all right. I'll probably pick up another this winter.
