Caught this bass last night on a 10 inch weightless purple robo worm. This bass was probably pound for pound the most SLUGGISH bass I have ever caught. He would pull drag but did not seem to swim all that quickly. He would also come to the top and thrash around but did not do any jumping like a lot of bass do. I was able to have this fish landed in under 1 minute.

Again I did not have a scale with me but this fish measured 22 inches long. I just guessed on the wait so dont be afraid to say "thats a 5 pound bass" because I wont get mad like a lot of people do. I did not have a scale so I could be mistaken.

Well, she's a GREAT fish no matter what she weighs!

Definitely 7

Could be a 7. You said in your signiture your PB Bass was a 23 inch bass with a 13 inch girth that weighed 6LB 7oz which you obviously weighed. This bass that I caught was 22 which is an inch shorter but I am sure the girth is more than 13. This fish was fat. My bass was probably around the same weight as the fish in your signiture I would say.. shorter length and bigger girth.

That's a HAWG! Use a piece of fishing line next time and use it to get the girth, you can measure it when you get home and use the calculator on this site. That girl is an easy 7. Good catch!

nice pig dude!! now you can replace your avatar with a fattie bass instead of a koy carp :D

I actually like my Koi avatar. I just like it because it is different to anyone else on this site. I love how this pic turned out though.

There are so many variables that go into it, but yours looks like it has a lot more girth then mine.

No way man.  Keep the carp on there.  Your my favorite poster on this site because of all those awesome Koi you get into.

Nice fish dude.  I've had a pretty slow year, size wise.  I would kill for a couple more in that range before 2010 wraps up

I have been having a great year when it comes to numbers of bass. I have also had a good year on catching bass on a variety of baits. I even caught some bass on swimbaits, topwater, chatterbaits. So I pretty much have caught them with every style of fishing. Size wise I never usually catch bass this big. I think it is just because my style of fishing uses smaller baits with a lot of action so I think my fishing style for bass targets numbers rather than size.

I have caught a 22' 8lber that looked to be a hair fatter then yours. I think your estimate of 7 is very reasonable.

Awesome fish man! I think your 7lb estimate sounds good... but what the hell do I know I've never caught a 7lb bass :-/

That thing must have swallowed a head!!!!  Its definitely a seven if not more.

WTG!!!!!

Great looking bass...plenty of girth on her so I'd agree with your estimate of 7ish...congrats!

Congrats, that is a nice bass no matter the weight.  That might be a conservative estimate - going from the picture.  There are a lot of people who fish their whole lives and don't catch one like that.
