OK so I read the story of RoadWarrior (Kent) and how he has a secret fishing hole only 8 miles from my house! I keep on reading to find that some jack*** took a 10+ fish out of there and that Kent normally catches good fish out of it! So I'm thinking....How come I dont know about this spot? Ive lived in the area for over 12 years? Really?

Well, long story short......REALLY!!!!

Talked to Kent on the phone a couple days before we scheduled to meet and he told me how he's catching good fish and what to bring... I brought everything he said and left the standard(bass pro tournament series squirmin worm 8'' electric blue/firetail) tied on.

When we got there it was barely light...ok it was still dark (5:20ish) and the bugs were out! Kent took me out to the spot and we started fishing down the bank. Nothing for the fist couple spots then we come to this one spot and he tells me there is a hump that extends out about 30 yards and you wanna fish up the back side, the top and then back down the other! I started fan casting from deep to shallow and on about the 6th cast or so I fish up the back side and get to the top....(this might sound familiar to some of you if you have read roadwarriors stories before) but as I get to the top, I stop my worm, twitch it a little and my line starts screaming to the middle of the pond! Bam I set the hook and Kent immediately knows its a big one! Get her to the bank, take the hook out, couple of pictures later and she's swimming off! Kent said he has caught her before and she weighted about 6.3 but this time we didnt bring a scale! What do ya'll think?

Oh yea and before I get to the pictures, I have to say a big thanks to Kent for showing me his spot and putting me on the fish! He really knows his stuff! We will have to do it again some time soon buddy!

Well we have the same haircut then...I guess "bald" was incorrect...my apologizes.  Btw, I got one that weighed 6.3 this afternoon but in a different spot.  I must admit, I havn't given that bank much action in a long time.

Yup, same lake. Believe it or not I grew up in that neighborhood but never really fished there till this year. I believe I caught the bass around seven on some sunk trees about 12' from shore. Caught on a t-rigged RT Space Monkey in black blue flake...don't remember the weight of the bullet weight though...

Excellent to hear you guys had a great time ;)

Ron,

I believe Kent told me that you were the one who caught it last year when it weighted 6'3....so yes!
