Both are fish catchers. Regular spinners generally catch bigger fish but the in lines will get big ones occasionaly.

In lines are notorious line twisters. Use a BALL BEARING swivel to reduce twist. Blue Fox Vibrax inlines are a good choice.

i think a lot of this depends on what the fish are telling you.

depending on seasonal patterns, i generally start large...and on top.

if you work your way down thru sizes and water columns, that first fish will tell you everything.

is it true it makes sounds under water

sound travels 5 times faster in water than out.

there are times you want as little sound as possible...rattlebaits are not always a plus.

ok thanks i ask because me in my friend had a little contest i had a spinner bait and he had the mepp he out fished me he had some type of fur on the tip of the mepp

Inlines are little fish magnets. I'm pretty sure they will outfish a spinnerbait 99% of the time, but spinnerbaits will almost always catch bigger fish on average.

They are fish catchers.

I use mepps #4 & #5 which are much bigger than the average inline spinners you see people using.

I don't consider them small fish catchers because the #5 weights @ 1/2 oz and that ain't a small meal. I've caught plenty of good size bass with those.

I like them so much that i resorted to just making them now.
