Saturday me and "Catching" from the BR forum hit up Loxahatchee Preserve. Dan caught a few good bass up to 5#'s on his JD'sCustomBaits monster worms. I didn't do as well. I'am hopeing that my patience will be rewarded by a XXL bass. Dan grew up on Lox fishing with his dad. He knew the place like the back of his hand. It was a good thing because as soon as we ventured past the flats we were swallowed up in a maze of bullrushes and lilly pads. I have to say that Loxahatchee Preserve is a beautiful area. The kind of place that looks like every cast should produce a big bass. On a side note, I have been trying to mix it up and fish as many areas of south florida as possible over the last few months. My next goal is to get up to Lake Okeechobee.

Gotta love that place. Even better that it's so close to home. I'm itching to get back out there to hook into that big fish I lost last week. It's just like Piscicidal told me, a mini Okeechobee.

Nice bass

Those pictures look like postcards

B.Lee,

Thank You for the compliment. I have been trying to take better pictures lately. I use a point and shoot Olympus 760 digital camera. Less than $200. I have had the camera for 3 years but have just read the manual. While reading I found that the camera had some cool features that will improve the photo. Mainly using the "saturation" feature, which apparantly saturates the pic with color.
