This is a local pond that holds some bass. I've recently been frustrated there, trying without success to catch bass. I will give some facts about it and see if y'all can help me catch some fish there.

FORAGE: SMALL baitfish and bluegill.

WATER: Actually appears quite deep, VERY clear, and air temps average about 90.

COVER: Bottom has lots of vegetation, some fallen trees, rushes, and branches. No rocks.

Access: Picture has labeled areas of greatest access, but there are lots of little spots in between.

I've managed to catch some shallow on wacky senkos and spinnerbaits, but I think they might be gone deep with the hot temps.  >:(

In my mind when you say they've gone deep that means:

1. Jid with a rage craw trailer fished very slow

2. Texas rigged large worm slow (thumper would be my pick)

3. Carolina rigged large worm slow

Good luck!

Yes, I am fishing from shore. I was thinking about a carolina rig. I am pretty sure a jig won't work, due to the heavy, tall grass on the bottom.

Jigs can be worked through thick grass I do it all the time. But you have to go slowly or you'll lose em' all day. And get one with a weed guard. My first choice would be the t-rig though

trust me, all you need is any texas rigged worm. preferably junebug with a 1/4 oz weight. cast, let it sink all the way to the bottom and gently drag and hop all the way back to you while remaining contact with the bottom. looks like a neighborhood lake where I like to bank fish, and i slay em with brushhogs when all else fails. every now and again i'll catch one on a crankbait or beetlespin, but the texas rigged plastic is my all time quarterback when bankfishing.
