sambrochill Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 It's been awhile since i've posted anything on here. but today i went fishing around 2 o'clock and i caught this lil guy on a jig my first cast in. I let it fall and sit for a few seconds, i started reeling it back towards me and i felt a thud, so i let it sit the pulled again and then the hook was set. at first i thought the jig was just rolling over debris but then it started fighting so i knew i had one and reeled it in and this is what was on the other end I just wanna say thanks to everyone for posting helpful jig advice when i asked about it and for helping to make this moment possible Quote
noogai13 Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 my first jig fish was a bluegill. i don't know if that counts.... Quote

flipin4bass Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 I'd say the guy that bass is holding is hooked........great catch! Quote
Super User 5bass Posted July 7, 2010 Super User Posted July 7, 2010 my first jig fish was a bluegill. i don't know if that counts.... Since it was a bluegill, it only counts if it was 2 pounds or more Way to go sambro! Quote
sambrochill Posted July 7, 2010 Author Posted July 7, 2010 i think the jig was a booyah baby bug or somethin like that. I;m not really sure because its been sitting in my tackle box for awhile and i just decided to fish it today Quote
Big Tom Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 It is tough to learn but jig fishing pays off pretty nicely once you start getting the hang of it. Keep at it. Quote

avid Posted July 12, 2010 Posted July 12, 2010 I had to laugh when I read the title to your post. I remember how excited I was when I caught my first fish on a jig. Be careful now, jig fishing can be addictive. Quote
