Shane Procell Posted June 7, 2010 Posted June 7, 2010 Despite the water being extremely high in the swamp, the best fishing in the southern everglades is going off now. I needed some fish for a fish fry lunch. Put the jeep in 4WD and made out for the canal. It was pretty quick work, ten cast and a five fish limit. All caught on a Rapala SR7. *Warning to all bank beaters* The gators are pretty hostile now and really don't mind charging you on the bank. Keep all fish off the ground. I like to hang mine in the trees. Quote
Super User SoFlaBassAddict Posted June 7, 2010 Super User Posted June 7, 2010 Nice fish as usual, Shane. Gotta love them Gators. Quote
BASSINATORBIGJOE Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 IF THATS OFF FISHING THEN I NEED SOME OF THAT. BY THE WAY, THOSE GATORS FRY UP PRETTY GOOD TOO. Quote
evrgladesbasser Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 Nice catch Capt. I'm starting to think your the man down here. I agree with your sentiments about the gators. I have noticed them creeping closer and closer to the boat lately.. no more liping fish over the edge for a while. Quote
ChiCityBasser Posted June 11, 2010 Posted June 11, 2010 Nice catches and yeah I don't blame you guys for not lipping them over the side of the boat Quote
