Super User Wayne P. Posted December 18, 2008 Super User Posted December 18, 2008 My favorite spinnerbait Quote
whittler Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 I agree Wayne, those were the best spinnerbaits I have ever used, caught more bass on those than all the other spinnerbaits combined. If you were blondfolded you could tell those baits by their unique vibration pattern. Quote
detroit1 Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 Thanks for the pic, wayne, it brings back memories of that old fishing show heavily sponsered by bass - buster. Was that Homer, or am i having an early senior moment ? .... Quote
Super User Wayne P. Posted December 20, 2008 Super User Posted December 20, 2008 detroit1, It may have been Virgil Ward, I can't remember which. I've only got about a couple dozen of those spinnerbaits left. Quote
Super User Sam Posted December 20, 2008 Super User Posted December 20, 2008 Sorry, no pics but check out the Arborgast Mudbugs. Metal crawfish baits. Quote
Super User cart7t Posted December 20, 2008 Super User Posted December 20, 2008 detroit1, It may have been Virgil Ward, I can't remember which.I've only got about a couple dozen of those spinnerbaits left. It was Virgil Ward and he and his sons owned and operated the Bass Buster Bait company for quite a few years before they sold it to the Johnson reel company. Makers of the infamous Beetle Spin, they also had a twin spin spinnerbait I can't remember the name off hand. That bait had a couple of small colorado blades mounted in a V fashion that folded up and slid through the line eye when the bait wasn't in use to make storage easier. Those are still in the package. Nice. 8-) Quote
