Super User burleytog Posted April 11, 2010 Super User Posted April 11, 2010 So far this year... 4 days on Guntersville - 3 bites, 2 fish (both not during tourney) 1 day on Cherokee - 8 fish (1 keeper) 2 days on Boone - 2 bites, 2 fish (1 keeper) Fished four tournament days and I've caught two keepers. TheBeast has gotten two bites all year and only landed one of those (it was at least a keeper). We have yet to experience a nice day on the water. It was cold as hell at the G, 32* at launch at Cherokee, 30* this morning at Boone. Perhaps the coldest I've ever been. Made a nice 4 mile run to start the morning, I couldn't fish for 30 minutes because my hands and feet were frozen. Other than bed fishing, I can do without this crap. 1 d**n 13" spot today as well as this thing... Oh well, back at it Monday... Quote
Deb Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Hang in there Burley....you sure can't catch 'em if you stay home! Come on over to KY.....had a great day here...... Quote

1inStripes Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 That sure was an experience as my first tourney with the club. We didn't make any big runs period and I was still froze yesterday morning. That goose egg I laid didn't feel any better either. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted April 12, 2010 Super User Posted April 12, 2010 Just means things have to get better! Hope you find your PB next time out. 8-) Quote
TheBeast Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 What's even better our next tourny is on South Holston, "The Dead Sea" and then on Watauga which is nearly as bad. :-/ Quote

Chaz Hickcox Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 Y'all need to come east. North Landing, and the Chowan have been awesome this time of year. Already put over 20lbs in the boat in only four tournements (had one that was a goose egg, but that was also my first time ever on Gaston). Quote
Super User Dan: Posted April 14, 2010 Super User Posted April 14, 2010 What water temps have you been seeing BL? Quote
