MaineBassMan Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 Well I went fishing alone today and had a great day. I didn't catch a lot of hawgs but I caught numbers. The number one baits today were a 3/8oz. Texas rigged Rage Lobster in June bug color and a 3/8 oz. green jig with an Okeechobee colored rage craw trailer. The water temp was 56 degrees and the largies were hungry. I caught them in tight to the cover. I caught 2 smallmouths and 39 largemouth for a total of 41 bass. I caught a lot in the two pound range. My two largest bass were 4lbs 03oz. and 3lbs 09oz. I caught all these bass and my 5 fish total was only 16lbs 02oz., but it was fun and they had a lot of fight in them. They felt bigger than they really were. I didn't take a whole lot of pictures because it is a pain in the butt to take pictures of one's self. I will be going back tomorrow with my Uncle. Boy these fish look smaller than they were! : 4lbs 03oz. same one 3lbs 09oz. Quote

hookset on 3 Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 That's darn impressive for Down East Maine the first week of April. In a typical year, when is ice out? hookset Quote
