Some of you may remember the post I made a while ago about what I could do catch some fish and get out of the funk. Well, I didn't catch any fish in the two hours I was at my ponds today, but I felt like I wanted to be there.

With high school baseball and school I just didn't have time, but now we're FINALLY on Spring Break, so I can get out and wet a line.

I wasn't really fishing as much as catching up with the ponds and seeing what stages the fish are in. I saw a ton of 'gills along the surface next to the algae patches, but no bass. I spotted some beds, but not many. It was tough to determine what stage of the spawn the bass were in.

I can already tell my new flippin' combo is exactly what I was looking for. My Lowrider/Citica combo is so light! Switching from the flipping stick to the Lowrider felt like I wasn't even holding a rod.

Anyways, it was good to get out and have that "feeling" only fisherman can describe. I'm very glad my passion has been sparked again for the upcoming season.
