Pretty self-explanatory.

I'm going with tackle box, but that's only because i don't have a tackle bag (don't see the need for one because i already own a huge Plano drawer-system tackle box and a few extra utility boxes that i don't mind carrying around because i have a boat to store them in).

I see tackle bags as more convenient for the people without boats, who, it may seem to be a drag to have to carry around a box rather than hanging a bag around their shoulders.

Where's the tackle box with shoulder strap choice?

I voted utility boxes because I keep my tackle in them in my boat, but if I go with someone else, I pull out the boxes and put them in a tackle bag.

I use the Tackle Bag Backpack from BPS.  It's great for times when I'm not on my boat, but also works well while i'm on my boat.

Like MALTESE FALCON,

I also use a back pack for shore line fishing (mostly due to the weight of my tackle bag). The rest of the time, I use my Okeechobie Fats tackle bag (weight is somewhere near 50lbs).

I use a small version of gander mountain tackle bag.Found it on sale one day.I shore fish is the reason why for the small version.I might be changing to backpack soon now too.

My okeechobie fats is too big to carry around.

I can fit two 3700's, a Falcon Terminal Tackle Box, and plenty of worms in a plain old back pack.  Before I go out I pack according to the time of year and body of water I am fishing and I am able to cover almost any situation with that amount of tackle.

If I am going with someone else then i use a bag. I go thru much like the others have said and only take what I plan on using that day or weekend based on time of year, etc., etc.

If not, then it all goes in the tackle storage in the boat.

used to fish with a guy that kept everything in an old 5 gallon paint bucket.

On the beach or pier I see buckets outnumbering bags and boxes.

They sell buckets down here for that purpose, even walmart carries them.

I use a fanny pack for salt water and in fresh I just put a few lures in my pocket.

When I could no longer carry all the tackle I needed wanted, I found the best solution was to buy a new boat to put it all in. ;D

When I do get limited in the rare occurrence that I am a non-boater, I prefer a tackle bag with utiltity boxes so I can choose tackle to fit the water, season, conditions I know I will be facing.

I use tackle bags but I have a couple of tackle boxes that I'll use for trips that do not include my boat.  These are handy for fishing in tiny tin boats or from the bank.

I use a bag. It holds 5 3700's, 2 3600's and all the assorted other junk I need including 20 bags of plastics. Only drawback is it says Bill Dance on it. :D

Backpack users - which is better - The Brownings through BPS or the Cabela's ?

If I am fishing from shore then I use only a tackle bag.  But, if I am in a boat, I have only hard baits and terminal tackle in my tackle bag, and everything that doesn't fit in there I have in my trusty rubbermade container, which is mostly soft plastics. ;D   Well that is if my friend lets me bring it, usually he does as long as we aren't in a tournament. 8-)

Well, I voted tacklebag because I use it to store my tackle, but I do not use it to carry my tackle unless im saltwater fishing, or on a boat.

When im fishing for largemouth, Im bank fishing 99% of the time. When I am serious fishing/determined, I wear a vest, which can hold alot, a standard size plano (which I fit my topwaters, cranks, jigs, spinnerbaits, and so on into that I plan to use that day) , hooks, weights, many bags of soft plastics, bobbers, scents, and what ever else I need.

Although when im not fishing serious, and just playin around. I'll bring a small 10-12inch plano, which I can fit a good amount of lures in, from cranks to spinnerbaits, to topwaters, to jigs, etc. And If I need a soft plastic or two, I'll fit a couple bags in my jacket, or pants pockets.

This is alot easier/relaxing then wearing the vest all day, but when I want to have a ton of things on me, I wear the vest. I hate carrying around a tackle bag all day, having to put it down, and pick it up again, and having to worry about it when I move down the side of the lake, its just a PITA. I much rather use a vest in this case.

Ps. You can see my vest in my avatar  :D.

The 'tackle box' is obsolete.

Oh great! Just when they're finally making boats big enough to allow you to open both "wings" at the same time.
