BucketBuster Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 My girlfriend and I visited some family in Florida last week and went fishing on Lake Toho with a guide service. We caught around 15 fish in the 4-6 lb. range (6 hour trip) using shiners and a mixed bag of soft plastics, but primarily 7 inch junebug ochos. Around mid-day and after not having a bite in a couple of hours, my girlfriend hooked this whopper on a shiner which weighed in at 9 lbs. 12 oz., tripling her personal best! Being the seasoned fisherwoman that she is, she rounded up and is now claiming that the fish was a full 10 lbs. I guess I can give her the 4 oz. I have never been so proud, yet envious. Quote
spraycrew Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 That is a great bass! I'd love for my wife to catch one like that! Of course i'd be jealous if she did because i've never caught one that big Quote
Super User .dsaavedra. Posted March 30, 2010 Super User Posted March 30, 2010 d**n thats awesome! Quote
NewAngler Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 That is awesome, but I don't think you can give her the 4 oz to make it a DD. If it here like 4-12 to 5 lbs, no problem. Cant do it for the ole' DD. Either way, hell of a fish. Quote

Cant do it for the ole' DD. Either way, hell of a fish. That's what I told her, but you know how women can be. She said if the fish would have eaten the shiner it would have weighed in at an even 10. Regardless, it was a memorable day and I look forward to a fantastic season on our home waters. Quote
