pitchNbass Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 Buddy caught this bass and showed me the pic. He didn't get a length or weight, just put it back in the lake. All he said was it was huge. Any guesses on weight? Quote
Taylor Fishin 4 life Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 he is defiantly pushing ten in my opinion Quote
Dalton Tam Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 he is defiantly pushing ten in my opinion Same here in my opinion. That is a monster! Quote
Super User Shane J Posted March 12, 2010 Super User Posted March 12, 2010 That's a monster! Gotta be at least 9lbs. Quote
Super User T-rig Posted March 12, 2010 Super User Posted March 12, 2010 Looks like a 10lber to me, at least very close to it! Congrats! Quote
Super User fourbizz Posted March 12, 2010 Super User Posted March 12, 2010 That is a big fish. I really like that first picture. Quote
looking4structure Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 That is a big fish. I really like that first picture. x2 10+ Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted March 12, 2010 Super User Posted March 12, 2010 Probably...She's a beauty for sure! 8-) Quote
bassman31783 Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 When I saw the thread title I thought "haha, whatever :". Now that I actually see the fish I would have to say that it's definitely pushing 10 for sure. Nice catch. Quote
Krzkev Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 The length is the impressive thing, that fish has to measure 27+ inches IMO. It has to 9 plus lbs closer to 10 or more. That's a beauty. Quote
Super User fishfordollars Posted March 12, 2010 Super User Posted March 12, 2010 Dang nice fish reguardless of what it weighs. At least 9. Quote
Super User David P Posted March 12, 2010 Super User Posted March 12, 2010 Looks every bit of 10, but without a scale, I'd call it 9.9 . lol Quote
Super User Dwight Hottle Posted March 12, 2010 Super User Posted March 12, 2010 I would guess 10-11lbs. Long fish with lots of girth & thickness. Looks like like a peacock with the head bump. Quote
BigEbass Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 That is a LONG CHUNK - I would say 9 conservative, but possibly 10 - photos are so tricky, but oh baby thats a big un! Quote
pitchNbass Posted March 12, 2010 Author Posted March 12, 2010 Yeah I said it was probably over 10lbs. It looks very long and had nice mass to it. The people there said it definitely looked over 10. I just wanted to get everyone's opinion. Thanks. Quote
aarogb Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 I don't know but that sure is a hell of a fish!!! Maybe 11 lbs. Quote
Super User Catt Posted March 13, 2010 Super User Posted March 13, 2010 If not 10 she's in the high 9's Quote
hookset on 3 Posted March 20, 2010 Posted March 20, 2010 Yup! Like another post said, with that thickness in the back, makes me think 10-2. Quote
Big-O Posted March 20, 2010 Posted March 20, 2010 Big E Nuff to make a fisherman real happy and a terrific photo to boot.... Big O www.ragetail.com Quote
demonjd22 Posted March 20, 2010 Posted March 20, 2010 Even if that isn't ten, i would def go around saying it is. If someone says otherwise just have your buddy show em the pic. That should quiet them down pretty quick lol Quote
Fish Chris Posted March 21, 2010 Posted March 21, 2010 I'd have to say 10 to 11..... But I'll tell you one thing, "If I ever caught a fish like that, and didn't have a scale with me, I'd be kicking myself in the arse, for as long as I lived" ! I mean heck, it could look 15 lbs ! But if you don't have a scale to weigh it on, it just doesn't count..... and catching a fish like that, and not being able to count it, seems tragic to me. Especially when having a scale around, is such an easy thing to do. Just MPO, Peace, Fish Quote
