What a day, so heres my story...Yesterday me and my grandfather decide to take the boat out on mayo reservoir in NC and boy was we in for it. We got there around 8ish and unloaded the boat and headed for what we thought was a good spot to begin fishing. As I drop the trolling motor in the water I find that its not getting any power to it so we are floating around for about 15 minutes and finally my grandpa tinkers with it enough to get it going. So we fish around a bit for about 40 minutes and decide we are going to go look for some warmer water to fish. Right before I pull up the trolling motor I try to turn the boat around, bad idea. The cable snaps in the trolling motor and we can now only go in circles soo me and my grandpa decide we will load up and head for a boat dealer about 30 minutes away to buy a new trolling motor and install it and get back on the water for the afternoon. Well as we are heading down the road no more than maybe 10 minutes away from the dealer we notice some log trucks in front of us and then we see some pretty big sticks fall off a truck and land in the road. My grandpa tries to miss them and it looks as if we do, 5 minutes later I hear a high pitched noise and look in the side mirror and see his rear right truck tire going down FAST! So we pull over I change it and now we are so ticked we head home. Long story short first fishing trips of the year are always fun and sometimes verrrrryyy expensive, we did land one pickeral while we were fishing...my grandpa calls it his money fish! :D All in all our trip costed my gramps around $1000 for a new trolling motor and repairs to the valve stem on his downed tire, good times...hopefully we've got all the bad luck out of the way for the year! Tight lines fellas 8-)

Well glad all in all you guys are safe and healthy.  That logging truck could have ended a lot differently
