-HAWK- Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 What a day! Went out to my local lake and tore them up. Thanks in part to .ghoti. I was using the gift he sent me for the Christmas Exchange. The rig consist of a Spot Stalker Jig Head and a 5" D/T Yamamoto Hula Grub. Here is what fell victim to the Hula Grub a nice 7lb 4oz with the head of a Ten pounder. This big girl must have already spawned. After catching about 10 more Largemouth in the 1-2 pound range. I switched up baits and went with a Crankbait. Thats when the Peacock bite went crazy. I landed about 12 Peacock about a 1lb-2lb range: Once again Big thanks to .ghoti. for turning me on to these baits! Quote

A 7 shows up in my neck of the woods so seldom that I'm happy to take an "assist" on that one. ;D By the way, it was 9 degrees this morning when I walked out the door. I decided not to fish today. :'( :'( :'( Quote
