paul. Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 every once in a while, i like to leave the bass alone and chase something that pulls a little harder. this one didn't disappoint either. there was a lot of drag pullin' going on after this one hit. lots of fun for sure. i have tried to get this particular fish out of this particular pond for a while because i'm sure it eats a lot of the bass forage. i've been wanting to put it in a friend's catfish pond, but my daughter is having none of it. she says i have to leave it alone and keep it right where it is. she has caught it several times over the years and grown quite fond of it, even naming it a few times. ;D so i guess it will live to a ripe old age in the pond where it was born. it will probably be eating 2 pound bass before long. ;D sometimes it's hard to say no to the princess. BassDeaton01 Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 Good lord man! When I read the title I thought maybe you caught some bluegill or something with your daughter. But it's no surprise to see a picture of you holding an enormous fish! Even if it's not a bass you seem to find and catch the biggest fish you are going for! I am jealous... 8-) Quote
Infidel. Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 Nice kitty. Let her eat all the bass she wants, that reduces the competition for the big ones in that pond. Quote
-nick- Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 So not only can you catch huge bass but your good at catching huge catfish. Quote

Lol. I was thinking the same thing. A bass under 7lbs would be a change of pace for paul! Nice catfish, I haven't fished for big cats in a long time. When I started fishing as a kid, it was for catfish. I've kinda forgotten about them. Quote
